Ingredients

  • One 28-ounce can Tomato Sauce
  • 28 ounces Water
  • 1 medium Yellow Onion minced
  • 2 fresh Jalapeño Peppers seeded and minced (The amount of jalapeños can be altered, less or more, to your taste and heat tolerance.)
  • 1/4 cup White Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Onion Flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a large saucepan. Stir to mix well.
  • Place pan over medium high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until sauce has reduced to a desired thickness.
  • Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • Taste. Add more salt and/or chili powder, to taste, if needed.
  • Pour into a sealable container. Store, in the refrigerator, until ready to serve, up to a month or more.
