Yield: 1 Jar

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 1/3 cups Mayonnaise
  • 6 ounces crumbled Blue Cheese

Instructions

  • Place sour cream, mustard, pepper, salt, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce in a mixing bowl. With an electric mixer on low speed, beat together for 2 minutes.
  • Add mayonnaise. Beat an additional 30 seconds. Increase speed to medium and beat for 2 minutes. (Alternately, for a more modern interpretation of Blue Cheese Dressing, add 1/2 the blue cheese now with the mayonnaise. Mixing it in like this, breaking up the pieces of cheese, gives the dressing a smoother consistency.)
  • Using a spatula, gently fold in blue cheese.
  • Place in a sealable jar or container. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
