Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon White Sugar
  • 2 Lime Wedges
  • 2 sprigs fresh Mint
  • 2 ounces Trader Vic's Silver Rum or other Silver or White Rum of choice
  • 8 ounces Club Soda

Instructions

  • Place sugar into a 12-ounce glass.
  • Squeeze the juice from 1 lime wedge into glass. Drop in the wedge.
  • Add 1 sprig of mint.
  • Using a spoon or muddler, firmly, but not roughly, mash - or "muddle" - the sugar, lime juice and mint together in the bottom of the glass.
  • Fill glass about 1/2 full with crushed ice.
  • Pour 2 ounces rum into glass.
  • Fill the rest with club soda.
  • Stir and garnish with remaining lime wedge and sprig of mint.
  • Serve.
