Ingredients

  • 4 large Tomatoes
  • 1 cup fresh Bread Crumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted Butter
  • 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat oven on broil.
  • Wash tomatoes. Remove stems.
  • Slice tomatoes in 1/2 crosswise.
  • Place tomato halves in a large broiler pan.
  • In a medium bowl, add bread crumbs, butter, cheese and seasoning. Mix well to fully combine.
  • Spoon bread crumb mixture evenly over tomatoes.
  • Place broiler pan in preheated oven, about 10 inches from heat.
  • Broil for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Remove tomatoes from oven.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top of tomatoes.
  • Place back in oven in same place. Continue to broil for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until tomatoes are hot and topping is browned.
  • Serve immediately.
