Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Pineapple Juice Concentrate
  • 1 cup Corn Syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Corn Starch
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seed Oil
  • 1/4 cup Mirin Wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced Garlic
  • 1/8 teaspoon minced Chili Pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced Ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon chopped Cilantro
  • 1/8 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper

Instructions

  • Combine soy sauce, honey, sugar, rice vinegar and pineapple juice concentrate in a medium sized mixing bowl. Stir to mix.
  • While stirring, slowly add in corn syrup, corn starch, sesame seed oil and Mirin wine.
  • Add garlic, chili pepper, black pepper, ginger, cilantro and crushed red pepper. Blend the mixture with a whisk or electric mixer for several minutes, or until the cornstarch is incorporated completely into the mixture.
  • Store in a tightly covered container, in the refrigerator, for at least 1 hour or until ready to serve to allow the flavors to develop.
