- 1 cup dry boxed “Complete” Pancake Mix (If you use regular mix, remember to add eggs and other ingredients as directed.)
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Applesauce
- Oil for cooking
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground Nutmeg
- 1/4 cup chopped Walnuts
- Caramelized Apples or Apple Pie Filling warmed
- 1/4 teaspoon ground Cinnamon to sprinkle
Place pancake mix in a bowl. Add apple sauce and water. Stir gently until just blended - Do not over mix.
Place oil in a large skillet.
Place skillet over medium high heat.
When oil is hot and shimmering, add 1 cup combined mix to pan. Cook until bottom edge is golden brown. Flip with a spatula and cook other side.
Remove pancake to a plate and repeat with remaining mix.
Drizzle with honey.
Sprinkle with walnuts.
Place a dollop of caramelized apples or apple pie filling on top.
Dust with cinnamon.
Serve hot.
