Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound Spaghetti Noodles
  • 4 ounces Olive Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic peeled and minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Herbs
  • 2 teaspoons Chili Flakes
  • 12 large (16-20 count) Shrimp, peeled, deveined and tails removed
  • Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce store bought or homemade, of choice
  • 4 large Basil Leaves chopped

Instructions

  • Prepare pasta according to package directions. Drain. Set aside.
  • Pour olive oil into a large saute pan. Place over high heat.
  • When oil is hot and shimmering, add garlic and Italian seasoning herbs. Cook, stirring, for a few seconds until garlic becomes golden brown.
  • Add the seafood, chili flakes and salt and pepper, to taste. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes stirring occasionally until shrimp is just done. Do not overcook.
  • Add marinara and basil. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 more minutes.
  • Taste. Add more salt and pepper, to taste, if needed.
  • Divide spaghetti in 1/2 and place into two serving bowls or onto large plates.
  • Spoon prepared sauce over spaghetti, placing 6 shrimp onto each dish.
  • Serve hot.
