Ingredients
Two 8-ounce Beef Tenderloin Steakscut 1-inch thick
2teaspoonsOlive Oil
1/4teaspoonOnion Powder
Salt and freshly ground Black Pepperto taste
2slicesBacon
2tablespoonsminced Shallots
Instructions
Place oven rack in it's highest position. Set oven to Broil.
Place steaks on a plate or cutting board.
Rub steaks all over with olive oil.
Sprinkle with onion powder and salt and pepper. Rub in.
Wrap 1 slice of bacon around each steak. Secure ends with a toothpick.
Place steaks onto a broiler pan.
Place pan in hot oven. Broil for 5 to 7 minutes.
Turn the steaks over. Sprinkle the tops with shallots. Place back in oven and broil for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the steaks are cooked to your liking (See "Steak Degrees of Doneness" Chart below).
