Ingredients

  • 5 Blackberries divided use
  • 3/4 ounce Brown Sugar Simple Syrup store bought or homemade (See Note 1 Above for a Simple Recipe)
  • 1 ounce Reyka Vodka or other Vodka, of choice
  • 3/4 ounce Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur or other Blood Orange Liqueur, of choice
  • 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 - 3 Blackberries to garnish
  • Pinch Nutmeg to garnish

Instructions

  • Drop 5 blackberries into a mixing glass.
  • Add brown sugar syrup. Muddle.
  • Add a generous handful of ice.
  • Add vodka, orange liqueur, lemon juice and bitters.
  • Shake until well-chilled.
  • Strain into Frozen Ice Glass (See Note 2 Above), or a Rocks or other glass, of choice, 3/4 full of ice.
  • Drop in 1 - 3 blackberries and sprinkle a pinch of nutmeg over top, to garish.
  • Serve immediately.
