Bahama Breeze Citrus Butter Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced Shallots
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed Orange Juice
  • 1/2 cup White Wine
  • 6 tablespoons Butter cubes cold
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • Salt and freshly ground White Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Add oil in a heated small sauce pan.
  • Add shallots and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add orange juice and white wine. Cook until reduced by 3/4.
  • Reduce heat to low. Add butter cubes one at a time while whisking the sauce to evenly incorporate the butter. Do not allow the sauce to boil, as it will break.
  • Add sugar, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Then strain the sauce through fine mesh strainer. Serve hot - rewarm if prepared early.
