We have a 5th wheel RV,would like to have some information on places to go with our RV. We live in Texas so we would like to know where to go here in Texas and as well for other States, where to go. Thank You, Judy

    • Judy,

Thank you. Yes, RVing and camping in general would be great subjects. It may take us a while — our travel writer partner seems to like exotic locales and resorts best for now — but we will work on it. As for Texas and the rest of the US — the vast majority of our SCRR readers are from the US, so we assume at this point that they will be on Dream It and Go, too. So we plan to cover the US extensively. Again, it may take a few to get everything just right, but that is what this Test and give-and-take is intended for. Thank you so much for the ideas.

  4. This looks very interesting. My husband and I are retired and love to go and see new places and experience new things. We also live in one of North America’s “Wild West and Last Frontiers”. There are so many interesting sites just right here in our own back yard. Thanks for the invitation to see this new site of yours.

    • Dee,

Oh heavens — don’t get me started. I have given up on thinking I will ever get around to all the recipes, restaurants and just food that I want to try. But, you know what, I hope I never do. I love finding and trying new things.

      Thanks for the kinds words.

A lot of seniors are traveling. I like to myself. The problem is I am now alone and do not feel safe traveling. Places or group travel for single seniors would be nice. Pat

Sweet. Mark just wrote an article today called “Henry Flagler and the Birth of Florida Tourism.” Very interesting stuff. Thanks for the good wishes.

Price options would be nice when discussing accommodations. Example: List a luxury stay, a medium price range, and then a budget option on all of the vacations sites that you discuss..
I think that would help people when choosing the destination. You definitely would hit a wider audience. No matter what your income, you want to see the same things…having accommodations on three level would be helpful.

    • Pam,

That is an excellent idea and we are definitely planning on doing some comparisons and suggestions for many of the places and attractions we cover.

However, it may take a while for us to fully implement. You probably won’t see much along the lines of price comparisons in the Test — but we should have plenty of accommodation and price information on hotels, restaurants and attractions once we start the actual Magazine. Here is why…

We are talking with a couple different price services about getting a service for our site that would give you the capability of searching and securing the best deals available directly from the site and the page you are reading. For example, If the page is about London, you click a button and London Hotels come up. Click another and you get Restaurants. You should even be able to set the prices you want to see. (We can’t tell you the services — but you know their names.)

But, without an actual site to show them we haven’t been able to exactly what we want just yet.

That is one of the “other” reasons for this Test Launch. At the end of this we will have something to show and feel sure we can secure the arrangement we want for you.

One other thing we hope will happen is that the readers who have been to a place or even live there will pitch in with suggestions. That would be so great.

Thanks for the suggestion and watch for much more on this topic as we go along.

I usually travel with my 9 (at the moment) year old grandson so places that have amazing things to see and touch and learn about in the US (because I love to drive) would be nice.

I cannot wait until I see the first issue. This is a great idea. I conduct Int’l Culinary Tours and am anxious to compare some travel notes. One of my pet peeves, however, is words appearing in print that would benefit from carefully proofing. On your email intro page right under the beautiful picture of fall trees, you have written:
, Next we when out and hand-picked the best photos from the very best professional and amateur Travel Photographers around and added an average of a dozen beautiful photos to each article.

Should read: Next, we WENT out, etc.

    • Maureen,

Yes. And we also misspelled “Sneak Peek” as “Sneak Peak” on the Wednesday email. We try our best but typos are gonna sneak through. There are only a few of us, usually only one working on any given page — and we do this for fun.

As for the rest — GREAT! We would love to talk to you about travel and Int’l Culinary Tours and perhaps work with you. Keep in mind that we are just starting out, have a lot to learn and, again, we do this for fun.

Let us know what you think and contact us about working together.

      Thanks,

      James
