Bennigan’s Garlic Mashed Potatoes Recipe


  • 1 pound Red Potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/4 cup Half-and-Half or Milk
  • 4 garlic Cloves, roasted
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground White Pepper, to taste


  1. Bake potatoes in a 350 degree oven for about 20 to 30 minutes.
  2. Roast garlic. (If you have never done this, WikiHow has some excellent step-by-step instructions — with PICTURES! — on the page How to Roast Garlic.)
  3. Remove potatoes from oven and allow them to cool.
  4. Chop potatoes, add butter, and half-and-half, and mix with with an electric mixer.
  5. Fold in the roasted cloves of garlic.
  6. Salt and pepper to taste.
